Are you in central Poland this weekend?
You can help clean up the Jewish cemetery in Sieradz, in an action organized by the Guardians of Remembrance NGO.
There will be a clean-up session this Sunday, June 21, starting at 11 a.m. at the cemetery, ul. Zakładników.
Organizers advise wearing comfortable clothing and work gloves, and if you have your own rakes or other tools, please bring them.

Well done to all volunteers!
My great grandfather and his two brothers, Woolf, Abraham and Lazarus Kruk (later Crook) came to London in the 1880s from Sieradz. Their father was Joseph, who died in 1913, his father was Moses, who died in 1912 in Pabianice. He was apparently 108, although proving this has been difficult. He had three wives, Rifka, Chana Leya and Miriam, although we aren’t sure in what order. He had several daughters, Ester, Sara, and possibly other sons and daughters.
Any information about the family and if they are buried in the Sieradz cemetery would be very welcome.
