SYNAGOGUES AND JEWISH HERITAGE IN SOUTHEASTЕRN EUROPE
The number of synagogues on the territory of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia, but also in the region was significant until the end of the first half of the 20th century.

The thematic volume aims to present the vanished and existing synagogues on the territory of AP Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia and in Southeastern European region as a culture of remembrance and a representative of Jewish heritage and culture.
In addition to synagogues, the topics of papers may include numerous other aspects of Jewish heritage and culture, as well as the historical context of Jewish heritage in both Southeastern Europe and also the region of Central Europe to which it is connected; as well as the causes of the disappearance of synagogues in the researched area during the XX century; anti-Semitism and the Holocaust in the researched and wider area; and the condition and revitalization of the existing objects of Jewish cultural heritage and their improvement for tourist purposes.
Works that present Jewish heritage in an interdisciplinary and broader context are also welcome.
Papers can be sent in the Serbian or English language. The deadline for submissions is December 31st, 2020.
