The ESJF is looking to hire a full-time Project Manager (PM).
The role is centered around the management of an international consortium of three non-profit organisations, focusing on the consortium leader, the ESJF. The Project Manager is responsible for the oversight of project deliverables, workflow, and finances. The job includes liaison and public representation, as well as involvement in the broader strategic development of the organisation.
The PM can be based outside the organization’s principal hub, Kyiv. However, in a post-COVID-19 environment, the post will include travel for strategically important meetings, as well as representing the organization at conferences and public events.
The PM reports directly to the ESJF Chief Executive Officer
- Managing the mass surveys and data processing conducted by the ESJF.
- Working with a team of historians, a survey coordinator, a communications officer, and various other support staff, the PM ensures the completion of surveys and data processing in seven project countries
- Ensuring that cooperation with consortium partners runs smoothly and that the implementation of their workflows follow the grant framework
- Working with the communications team to ensure media outreach and diverse representation in regional, national, and international media
- Maintaining oversight on the financial and administrative matters of the grant
- Identifying any problematic issues, challenges, necessary amendments, or discussion points when it comes to compliance with the EC
- Liaison with a diverse array of stakeholders, including partner organizations, embassies, diplomatic missions, national governments, pan European organizations, Jewish communities, NGOs, and potential donors in multiple project countries
- Ensuring the production of project deliverables and the organization and collection of data for grant reporting
- Communicating with other members of the ESJF team and where possible integrating project work into the overall work plan of the organisation
- Experience in project management, preferably in a non-profit context
- Excellent communication skills in diverse contexts
- A broad understanding of cultural heritage and Jewish culture
- Advanced level of English including excellent writing skills and at least intermediate Russian
- Is organized, juggles many tasks well, performs well under tight deadlines
- Good computer literacy, including Excel and project management software
- Team player and good leadership skills
- Experience with EU grants, or other grant reporting
- Other regional languages (especially Polish, Ukrainian, Hungarian), and/or Hebrew
- Experience with working in an international team
- Experience handling large budgets
