
Continuing our series on synagogues that were dedicated at Rosh Hashana … we’ve posted recently about the monumental Great Synagogue in Plzen (Pilsen), Czech Republic, which is about to undergo extensive renovation.
But we can’t resist posting the new video and Czech radio report (in English) about the building as it celebrates its 125th birthday — it was inaugurated on Sept. 7, 1893, just in time for Rosh Hashana, which began a few days later.
