It’s summer — and that means traveling time. As we have noted, there is a growing selection of Jewish travel and tourism apps to help visitors interested in visiting Jewish heritage. Here’s one for Jewish Vienna, prepared by the Vienna Jewish Museum.
Called Jewish Vienna — Between the Museums, it can be downloaded and then used offline to visit places of Viennese Jewish history along a route through Vienna’s old town that connects the two buildings of the Jewish Museum — on Dorotheergasse and on Judenplatz.
The App is available on both IOS and Android platforms. According to the description
Points of interest are shown on both a list and a map view and explained with images and text, using geolocation to position them in relation to where a visitor is currently standing. The app works without an active internet connection, i.e. only GPS is required (no roaming charges). You can find it in the App Store and on Google Play.
