As part of its ongoing philatelic series on cultural heritage, Romania recently issued commemorative postage stamps honoring the 130th anniversary of the Great Synagogue in Radauti.
The announcement notes that the synagogue was inaugurated “on August 18, 1883, the birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph I” — Radauti then being in the Austro-Hungarian Emprie’s easternmost Bucovina province — and “the first service was celebrated by one who was, between 1883 and 1909, the city’s new Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Kunstadt.”
Still used by the tiny Jewish community in Radauti, and still a city landmark, the synagogue underwent renovation last year and now houses a little permanent exhibition on local Jewish history. See this link about the renovation and rededication.

The extensive Jewish cemetery in Radauti is well-maintained and has been fully documented and mapped.
