Preserving Jewish Heritage in Poland

Preserving Jewish Heritage in Poland, a book marking the 10th anniversary of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, or FODZ, was formally launched Nov. 4 in Warsaw.

With a focus on policy and process, the illustrated album highlights FODZ’s work over the past decade and presents examples of FODZ’s synagogue and cemetery restoration projects, such as the restoration of the Renaissance synagogue in Zamosc, as well as its educational programs and its Chassidic Route tourism itinerary.

JHE Coordinator Ruth Ellen Gruber provided one of the essays in it.
