
Applications are open for a seminar for early-career professionals in Jewish heritage and graduate students contemplating a career in the field, organized by the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe in conjunction with the Bibliotheca Rosenthaliana, part of the Allard Pierson at the University of Amsterdam.
The seminar takes place in Amsterdam, August 23-28, 2026. Application deadline is April 21.

The seminar combines academic presentations, hands-on workshops, case studies, and site visits with experts working in museums, archives, libraries, and research universities.
It is an opportunity to learn about heritage collections, buildings and monuments, their histories and stories, conservation and cataloging, heritage and memory, exhibition and presentation, stakeholders, collaboration, and societal relevance.

The Jewish Heritage Seminar is designed for early-career professionals and graduate students.
Applicants must be professionals in a Jewish heritage institution in Europe, with less than 7 years of experience, or recent or current graduate students in a European university working in the field of Jewish heritage or contemplating a career in this sector.
Only one staff member from an institution may apply to attend this seminar.
Fluency in English is essential.

Funding covers accommodation, lectures, lunches and site visits.
Participants must cover their travel to and from Amsterdam, as well as dinners.
Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in the whole seminar from Sunday, 23rd August in the afternoon until Friday, 28th August at 14:00.
