To mark the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the United Jewish Community of Ukraine has published a list of around 40 synagogues, Jewish community infrastructure, Jewish cemeteries, monuments, and other Jewish sites that have been damaged or destroyed by missiles and shelling. It published a map to show where the places are.

Damage was recorded “in different regions of Ukraine […] from frontline territories to large cities,” it said, but added that the scale of the losses could be much higher.
“The degree of damage to objects ranges from minor (broken windows) to complete destruction,” it said. “Due to the complexity of the exact qualification of losses for a number of objects, the data given are of an appraisal nature.”
The list is compiled and presented in chronological order with the indication of approximate dates of incidents. Some of the sites suffered damage repeatedly, but Jewish objects per se did not seem to be specific targets.
The list begins with damage to a synagogue in Kyiv in February 22, and damage to the Babyn Yar monument on March 1, 2022. The most recent was the destruction of a Holocaust memorial in Bilopillia, Sumy region, during an air strike in January 2026
