Celebrations today mark the 20th anniversary of our friends the AEPJ — The European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage.
The events are taking place in Strasbourg, in and around the Council of Europe.
Established in 2004, the AEPJ has grown to become an expanding network of European institutions, including public bodies, private foundations, federations of Jewish communities, and NGOs, that serves as a platform to develop cultural initiatives and educational programs to European Jewish sites.
Its flagship programs, for which it serves as general coordinator, are the European Days of Jewish Culture and the European Routes of Jewish Heritage.

But it also has expanded its scope to take part in initiatives such as NOA (Networks Overcoming Antisemitism), Next Routes, and MiDorLeDor Europe.
Celebratory events in Strasbourg include speeches by Council of Europe senior officials, a panel discussion on medieval Jewish heritage in Europe, a guided tour of Jewish Strasbourg – and (of course) birthday cake.
We’ve been delighted to watch the AEPJ grow over the years and are proud to work with them in a variety of ways.
We wish our friends a happy anniversary, and we look forward to continuing collaboration, cooperation, and growth!
