New JHE Video — A Pride of Lions for the Month of Av

We have a new video up on our JHE YouTube channel — A Pride of Lions for the Month of Av.

The Hebrew Zodiac sign for the Hebrew month of Av, which straddles July and August, is the Lion. The Lion is also the symbol of the Tribe of Judah, representing attributes such as strength, courage, and majesty — and it is a common Jewish decorative motif.

So, to mark the month we present a collection of Lions — in Zodiacs found in synagogues as well as in other Jewish ritual decoration, in synagogues, Jewish gravestones, and elsewhere.
