The AEPJ is inviting anyone interested in taking part in this year’s European Days of Jewish Culture to join the online EDJC Coordinators’ Meeting to take place on Zoom February 24-25.
This year’s EDJC, which kicks off September 5, is being organized under the umbrella of the NOA project — Networks Overcoming Antisemitism. Its overarching theme this year is “Dialogue.”
The invitation broadens participation in the Coordinators’ Meeting to include
Any individual, institution, community, synagogue, federation… that has previously participated in organising a European Days of Jewish Culture activity or intends to do so in the next edition.
Participation in the conference is free of charge.
The schedule calls for two afternoons — 3-1/2 hours each, from 3 – 6:30 pm CET — of workshop-like sessions, based on the concepts of dialogue and Jewish culture: how they relate, how they can be fostered.
Participants will receive and be able to discuss a dossier of activity proposals and other materials produced by the National Library of Israel and NOA.
European Days of Jewish Culture is Europe’s most successful cross-border Jewish cultural initiative — a pan-European festival of tourism and education centered on Jewish built heritage that takes place annually in more than two dozen countries across the continent.
JHE’s Ruth Ellen Gruber took part in the meeting in January 1999 that established the EDJC. Click here to read her 2019 “Have Your Say” essay looking back at its inception and evolution.
