POSITION SUMMARY
WMF is seeking applications for the 2020-2021 Jewish Heritage Fellow position. The Fellow will provide programmatic, administrative, and communications support for the Jewish Heritage Program (JHP), with a key objective of contributing to the reimagining of the program and the development of strategies to engage the Jewish diaspora in highlighting and protecting its rich and diverse heritage (memory, place, and communities). Since the creation of the Jewish Heritage Program in 1988, WMF has carried out over 50 documentation, survey, and conservation projects on Jewish cultural heritage sites—initially focusing on Eastern Europe but expanding to the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Asia. In addition to our longstanding commitment to preserve these places of importance, WMF values the opportunity to tell the stories of associated communities and how the sites and traditions have served as an anchor for them across generations.
