
Summertime is here, and even if you can’t make long vacation trips, there’s lots of opportunities for Jewish heritage travel on a local (or regional) level.
Here’s a list of some of the Jewish heritage tours & events planned for the coming week, starting today.

Bologna, Italy — July 21

Nighttime guided tour around locations connected to the stories of the city’s Jews during the Second World War. The tour is organized by the Bologna Jewish Museum and will be held in Italian. Time: 9 PM. Cost: €7. Reservation required.
Ingwiller, France — July 21
Nighttime guided tour in French of the Jewish heritage sites of Ingwiller, including the synagogue. Reservation required, wearing a mask is compulsory. Time: 8 PM. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
Frankfurt am Main, July 21
A guided tour of the Old Jewish Cemetery in Frankfurt, dating back to the middle ages and one of the oldest in Europe, with more than 2,000 gravestones. Organized by the Frankfurt Jewish Museum. Time:
Bordeaux, France — July 21 and 23
Guided tour in French of the city’s Great Synagogue. Maximum participants: 10 people. Cost: €8. Reservation required, wearing a mask is compulsory.
Struth, France — July 22
Guided tour of the city’s synagogue, built in 1836. The tour is organized by the Intercommunal Tourism Office of Hanau-La Petite Pierre.
Pesaro, Italy — July 23
During all summer, the synagogue will be open to visitors every Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Prostějov, Czech Republic — July 23
Opening of the exhibition on Baroque Synagogues in the Czech Lands, organized by the Jewish Museum in Prague in cooperation with the Museum and Gallery in Prostějov, the Hanácký Jeruzalém association and the city of Prostějov. Time: from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Stockholm, July 23
Guided tour around the city’s Jewish heritage sites. Until September, this tour starts every Thursday and Sunday at 2 PM. Duration: 1 hour. Cost: 140/120 Swedish crowns. Reservation required.
Borgholz area, Germany — July 25
Excursion to the Jewish cemeteries of Bühne, Borgentreich and Borgholz, with a visit to the former synagogue in Borgholz. The trip is limited to 25 people, and reservations are necessary. Time: from 2 PM to 6 PM. Cost: €8.
Vilnius, July 26
Free walking tour of the Paneriai Holocaust Memorial, organized by the Vilnius Jewish Museum. Reservation required. Time: 1 PM.

Warsaw, July 26
Walking tour around the Muranow district on the traces of its most famous residents. The tour is organized by the POLIN – The Museum of the History of Polish Jews. It accompanies the museum’s current temporary exhibition on Muranow, the former downtown Jewish quarter and site of the WW2 Jewish ghetto. Time: 4 PM. Cost: 20/15/1 zloty.
Frankfurt am Main, July 26
- Walking Jewish heritage tour organized by “Frankfurt on Foot”, includes a visit to the Medieval Cemetery and the historic Jewish ghetto. Reservation mandatory. Maximum 8 people. The tour is held in English. Time: 1 PM. Duration: 1 hour. Cost: €10.
- Guided tour of the Medieval Jewish Cemetery, organized by the Frankfurt Jewish Museum. Time: 3:30 p.m.
