ESJF fulltime project coordinator and press officer
The ESJF is looking to hire a full-time project coordinator and press officer for its new project, co-funded by the European Commission. The project involves working in a consortium, as part of a multinational team that surveys Jewish cemeteries, carries out educational initiatives, builds stakeholder engagement and develops sustainable models for preserving Jewish heritage in Europe.
The post combines tasks related to internal and external communication with project coordination and assistance to the PM. Occasional travel across Europe is required. Based in Kiev, offers a competitive salary with generous holiday package and opportunities for personal development.
Tasks:
Engage with national and international media (answer queries, seek out connections, write press releases)
Update and maintain the project website, oversee content uploaded
Coordinate with partners in project countries to ensure media engagement there
Maintain social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin)
Answer questions and queries, liaise with partners
Contribute to the production of project deliverables: reports, summaries, overviews
Ensure smooth daily engagement between consortium partners, maintain shared calendars
Brief the PM about various workflows
Required skills:
Native or close to native English, at least basic Russian/Ukrainian
Experience with press releases, news writing, social media management
Experience in representing an organisation, liaison with donors, partners etc.
Good team player, able to work in an international team
Attention to detail, documenting and coordinating a large project with several, partially remote teams
Desirable skills:
Intermediate or advanced Russian/Ukrainian
Editorial experience (both online and print)
Project management experience, working with international grants
Web editing, WordPress, SEO
Understanding of Jewish culture and heritage
Other languages are an asset (especially German, Hebrew or Polish)
