The Jewish Community Museum in Bratislava has launched a new web portal for the rich Jewish heritage of Bratislava, including an interactive guide to 28 sites of Jewish interest in the city.
The web site — www.jewishbratislava.sk – includes sections on three museums: the Jewish Community Museum, the state-run Museum of Jewish Culture, and the Arthur Fleischmann Museum, as well as the synagogue, the subterranean Chatam Sofer Memorial in the remnant of the city’s Old Jewish Cemetery, and Bratislava’s current Jewish cemeteries.
The portal also connects to Jewish Cemetery.sk, the online database of Bratislava Jewish cemeteries as well as to museum exhibits, and will be further developed to include more resources for tourists, researchers, family historians, and others.
The new web site is responsive on smart phones and tablets and can be used as a mobile guide.
