As part of year-long events marking the 700th anniversary of the synagogue in Córdoba, Spain, the University of Cordoba and the City Council have launched a new web site dedicated to the Jewish history of the town and region.
The aim, according to a news report quoting the rector of the university, is to promote both tourism and academic exchange. The synagogue is the second most-visited tourist site in the city.
The web site — currently in Spanish and English, with a Hebrew version planned — includes information on Jewish history in Córdoba, heritage sites and museums, and cultural events and festivals as well as practical tips for tourists.
