We are happy to share the link on the LEOLAM Jewish Heritage Foundation blog to a series of pictures documenting the inauguration Sept. 25, 2013 of the restored funeral house at the entrance to the Jewish cemetery in Moinesti, Romania. Renovation and clean-up work was also carried out in the cemetery, founded in 1740.
The work was financed by the town of Moinesti and the Federation of Romanian Jewish Communities (FEDROM), as well as by LEOLAM.
Mazel tov!
LEOLAM’S current and future projects include restoration work on the town’s synagogue and creation of a “mini-museum” there.
