Spain’s Sephardic Museum, in Toledo, attracted more visitors than any other state-run museum in 2012, according to a report released by the Culture Ministry last week.
The museum, housed in the historic Transito synagogue was visited by 295,889 people during the year, the report, carried on the ABC.es news site, said.
The second most-visited state museum was the Altamira cave painting museum, with 256,227, and that of Roman Art in Mérida with 191,233, according to the statement.
