A video posted to YouTube last week shows construction of a new shopping center next to the Jakub Glanzer synagogue on Vulgina street in L’viv, Ukraine. The construction has prompted criticism from Jewish organizations and even flash-mob protests. See our earlier post HERE.

Surely the heritage of such a wonderful city as Lvov is worth more than yet another bland supermarket development. Not to mention directly impacting on the precinct that houses the Jakub Glanzer synagogue. The cultural identity and the beauty of this city must come before such ill-concieved modern developments. Do not kill this cities heart!
