A ceremony will be held on July 25 to reinaugurate the synagogue in Radauti, Romania after a restoration process — which has already included the opening of a “mini-museum” there earlier in July. The twin-towered synagogue, in vaguely Moorish style, was built in 1879.
As can be seen from this videos, the mini-museum seems to be a rather informal display of documents and other material. It was sponsored by the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania, as part of an initiative that will see small museums or exhibitions placed in a number of synagogues in the country.
The July 25 inauguration ceremony will be followed by a symposium about the Jews of Radauti.
