The 14th century former synagogue in Cordoba, Spain will be closed from June 2 to August 3 for repair and maintenance work, according to local news reports.
Reports said the work will include cleaning and consolidation of plasterwork, carrying out maintenance and repairs of the vaulted room in the basement under the main hall and repair of the sills of high windows in the main hall.

ABC said that the synagogue was the second most visited monument in Cordoba, with more than 344,000 visitors last year.
Starting in September, a series events is planned to celebrate the building’s 700th anniversary.
