
The Auschwitz Jewish Center (AJCF) in Oświęcim is seeking applicants aged 18-30 for the year-long position as a volunteer who will carry out a project under the European Solidarity Corps. The successful applicant will have all expenses paid, including travel. The deadline for applications is June 30.
Applications for the position, which lasts from September 2025 to August 2026, are open for people aged 18-30 who reside in an EU country or an EKS partner country (e.g., Ukraine, Israel). Applicants should have an interest in Jewish culture, education, or ecology. Only one person will be chosen.

The successful applicant will focus on non-formal education, preservation of cultural heritage, and intercultural integration through the activities of the Auschwitz Jewish Center (and Oshpitzin museum) in Oświęcim.
Duties will include:

Museum Education: Organizing and leading educational workshops for school groups, guiding tours at the Oszpitzin Jewish Museum.

Work at the Jewish Cemetery: Cleaning, organizing, and arranging fragments of tombstones (matzevot).

Customer Service at Cafe Bergson: Assisting in the modern, museum-based Cafe Bergson, preparing coffee and other beverages.

Educational Activities: Creating informational boards, graphics, and educational materials to promote Jewish history and culture.

Workshops and Events: Organizing activities for the local community, including youth and seniors.

Promoting Sustainability: Implementing eco-friendly practices and raising awareness about environmental protection.

Digital Development: Creating online content and learning to use digital tools.
