
The Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe is now accepting applications for its European Jewish Heritage and Jewish Communal Life grants. These are for funding starting in January 2027. Deadline for first-stage applications is Thursday 9 July, 2026 at 5pm BST.
Applications are welcomed from a wide array of organisations across Europe including archives, libraries, museums, heritage institutions and Jewish communal organisations.

Jewish Heritage Grants

The Foundation provides funding to institutions and organisations across Europe holding materials, records, books, and objects relating to the Jewish experience throughout history.
Grants are available for archives, libraries, museums, professional institutions and organisations to ensure their collections are accessible for research and education and to convey Jewish heritage and culture for diverse audiences.\
Grants are available for:
EXHIBITION SUPPORT
Support for institutions to create engaging, professional and innovative exhibitions relating to Jewish history and Jewish cultural heritage.
DIGITAL HERITAGE PROJECTS

We will provide an initial year of funding for a digital project which engages larger and more diverse audiences with Jewish heritage.
COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT
Funding for institutions to conserve, organise and protect collections relating to Jews, Judaism and Jewish history and culture.
SCOPING GRANT
Commission an independent consultant to survey a collection related to Jewish history, heritage or culture and produce a report. (You can apply for this grant at any point throughout the year.)
EXPERT/CONSULTING VISITS
European institutions can receive expert advice and guidance to help manage the Jewish material in their collection or develop educational activities in relation to these collections. (You can apply for this grant at any point throughout the year.)
