Call for Entries: Jewish Cemeteries Photography Competition for university students in Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Ukraine

Attention university students in Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Ukraine!

You’re eligible to enter a photography contest sponsored by the European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative.

The competition runs from now until April 2023. 

“Whether it is straight documentary or artistic interpretation, we’d love to see what you can do,” the ESJF says.

Feel free to use black and white, color, or infrared. Use a fish-eye, telephoto or normal lens, a digital, film, Polaroid or pinhole camera.

Winners will receive up to €1.000 in camera/video equipment and have their work shown in prestigious venues and online.

Applicants may submit up to 10 images, using the form on the competition web site.

Photos should be:

• in JPEG format
• more than 10 megapixels resolution (2480 x 2480 pixels is the smallest you may upload, but larger is preferred)
• up to 30 MB each

All students studying at university or college in Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Ukraine are eligible to take part.
