Virtual Shtetl reports that the “new” Jewish cemetery in Bytom, in southern Poland, has been registered on the list of monuments in Silesia region. The cemetery, which dates from 1866, is located at ul. Piekarska 56.
From now on, the register protects the cemetery area including the layout of cemetery sections and cemetery alleys, the building of the burial society with its additions, the burial house with the former coach house, the fence gate and western and southern parts of the fence.
