Stockport online Jewish Heritage Trail Launch

Stockport Jewish Heritage Trail is a new free digital trail exploring the history of the town centre’s Jewish communities.
Stockport is a town in northern England, about 7 miles south of Manchester – famous for its industrial history, particularly in cotton and hat making. The town became a major centre for these industries during the 18th and 19th centuries.
The trail uses memories, historic photographs and maps to tell the story of shops, market traders, synagogues, homes, activists, war memorials, refugees and more from the 1800s onwards. This online launch will highlight several key buildings and sites on the digital trail, while also explaining how to use it. It will be led by Kevin Bolton, a Stockport resident and archivist who created the trail. To find out more about the trail, please visit https://stockportjewishheritagetrail.com or email Kevin at [email protected]
The Zoom link will be emailed to you nearer the date of the event.
Online launch: 20:30 – 21:30 CEST
