Adapting to Change: The Artwork of Beverley-Jane Stewart

The British artist Beverley-Jane Stewart focuses on synagogues as a starting point to trace the changes in the lives of the people around them.

In this major retrospective, the Manchester Jewish Museum presents three of Stewart’s series of paintings:

• Synagogue Series: An intimate invitation into some of the UK’s most remarkable places of worship.
• Jewish Visual Stories: A chronicle of change within British Jewish communities.
• Beyond the Ashes: An exploration of destroyed synagogues and their enduring connections.

The exhibition can be visited as part of General Admission to the museum.
