DESCRIPTION:Discover the story of Jewish life in medieval London with the Jewish Square Mile Foundation at the Barbican Centre. \nA programme of expert talks\, walking tour and family activities will bring this period vividly to life while challenging some of the myths that surround it. Speakers include leading scholars Dean Irwin and Rory McLellan\, whose research offers fresh insight into the everyday lives and experiences of medieval Jewish London. \nThe Jewish Museum will be running a series of children’s activities throughout the day\, with crafts including collage\, hat making and brick making. Children must be accompanied by an adult. SUMMARY:Czech Day of Jewish Monuments
DESCRIPTION:The Czech Republic’s annual Day of Jewish Monuments. \nMore than 75 Jewish heritage sites in Bohemia\, Moravia and Silesia will be made available visitors (free of charge or for a voluntary contribution) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. \nAttractions include the Čáslav Synagogue\, whose cassette ceiling and entrance doors have been restored\, as well as  Jewish cemeteries in Drmoul\, Mariánské Lázně\, Moravský Krumlov\, and Příbram\, and the synagogues in Neveklov\, Volhynia and Písek. \nThis year’s event is complemented by an accompanying program\, which mostly consists of guided tours\, lectures or concerts. Guided tours will take place in Slaný\, Přerov\, Žamberk and Nýrsko.
