Free guided tours of the Synagogue in Pfaffenhofen, France (Alsace).

Built in 1791, it is a fine example of French Alsatian rural synagogue architecture, with a steep pitched tiled roof and simple interior. It was restored and opened as a Jewish museum in 2000.

Guided visits & lecture @ Synagogue of Brumath

The synagogue will be open for visits, with a lecture on its history and architecture at 3 p.m.

Built in the first half of the 19th century, the synagogue of Brumath is located in a tree-lined courtyard.
This sanctuary is accessed by a western porch covered by a zinc roof supported by a row of Doric columns. In the center of the porch, a large door allowed access to men. It is flanked by two small doors. One was used by men for the exit, the other was reserved for women.
