We are happy to pass along this call from Museum Practice in the UK for participants in a study on volunteers at museums (and other such organizations). Launched 15 years ago, Museum Practice shares examples of new developments and innovations in museums and galleries, from technology to new ways of interpreting objects and storing collections.
The articles will look at alternative ways museums and other organisations are working with volunteers including: online volunteers and crowdsourcing; corporate volunteering; family volunteers; and short-term opportunities.
Organisations and individuals are invited to submit their case studies about their work in this area.
Case studies should be about 250 words and must include a landscape photograph.
You can read other examples of reader-submitted case studies in the Your Case Studies section of Museum Practice.
Please email your case studies and relevant landscape photographs by 23 August to rebecca.atkinson@museumsassociation.org
